In 2022, HCH joined forces with AAN at Wuhan MixC’s Grey Stone—a space of light and shadow—to bring this vision to life, embodying the renewed vitality of HCH.

 HCH Grey Stone

HCH Greystone Concept Store is a unique and captivating multi-functional space located on the first floor of Wuhan MixC, covering approximately 290 square meters. Centered around the theme of "rock crevices," the design responds to people's innate need for spatial exploration. By integrating stone with fashion, art, home living, events, and other diverse scenarios, it creates an environment filled with curiosity and a desire for discovery.

夜幕降临后，光线通过石缝之间散出，洞穴般的空间被温暖的光线所照亮，在充满玻璃幕墙的城市界面中营造出神秘且原始的空间氛围。

As night falls, light seeps through the crevices between stones, illuminating the cave-like space with a warm glow. Within the cityscape dominated by glass curtain walls, it creates a mysterious and primal atmosphere.

城市缝隙

Urban voids

The spatial design focuses on exploring the relationship between physicality, space, and function. It integrates structure, gravity, and interactive forces to express functionality, evoking a sensation of being within the crevices of massive stones. Visitors can access different functional areas through openings between various structures, where the interplay of public and private spaces naturally delineates their uses. Each area offers a unique and distinctive experience.

The facade of HCH Greystone redefines the relationship between the commercial interior and the urban space. Solid glass curtain walls are no longer the only option; instead, varying sizes of concavities, convexities, and crevices are integrated with human behavior and experience. The interplay of mutually supporting stone blocks creates a rich and dynamic interface between the interior and the exterior.

巨石阵

Stonehenge

原始场地内有18根混凝土柱错落有致地分布，设计方案充分利用空间的进深与高度，结合18根原始混凝土结构柱，形成了不同场景和功能的复合型空间。

The original site featured 18 concrete columns distributed in an orderly yet dynamic layout. The design leverages the full depth and height of the space, skillfully incorporating these 18 original structural columns to create a multi-functional environment composed of diverse scenarios.

时尚态度，艺术空间、家居美学和生活场域的组合打破了传统的束缚，为人们创造了一个开放、包容的复合型体验空间。

The integration of fashion attitude, artistic space, home aesthetics, and living scenarios breaks conventional constraints, creating an open and inclusive composite experience for visitors.

日常再造

The Ordinary, Redefined.

HCH grey stone概念店是工匠们多次实验和探索中的结晶。通过对日常材料的不断选择与实验，对传统工艺的挑战与打磨，营造出原始且有手工感的空间氛围。

HCH Greystone Concept Store is the culmination of the artisans' repeated experimentation and exploration. Through the continuous selection and testing of everyday materials, along with the challenging and refining of traditional techniques, the space evokes a raw, handcrafted atmosphere.

<粗糙与光滑>

去除原本大理石的豪华感，将石材本身龟裂的自然面露出，让工地中石材本身堆叠作为陈列及货品放置的地方。

The design intentionally strips away marble’s conventional luxury, exposing the stone’s raw, naturally fractured surfaces.

<日常与非日常>

将常规的罗非岩涂料，通过10层覆盖让表面出现浮雕感。

The conventional rafaelo rock coating was layered ten times, transforming its flat surface into a tactile bas-relief texture.

<工业与情感>

通过工匠反复捶打铸铝的表面形成手工捶打痕迹，让logo本身表面增加工匠的情绪与温度。

Artisans meticulously hand-hammered the cast aluminum surface, imprinting it with rhythmic strikes that embed human temperament and warmth into the very texture of the logo.

<悬挂与结构>

不同的石块采用了灰色糙面罗非岩或哑光面微水泥的表面质感，结合触感让空间结构呈现出质感层次，金属杆件作为结构支撑的同时可悬挂物品，让挂衣杆形成结构体系，展示出精致的作品。

The space employs grey rough-textured Rophy rock or matte micro-cement for different stone blocks, creating a rich tactile hierarchy within the structural composition. Metal rods serve dual purposes: providing structural support while also functioning as hanging rails for garments. This integration transforms clothing racks into a cohesive structural system, elegantly showcasing the refined collections on display.

<精致与刮花>

将铝板反复打磨圆圈纹理出现刮擦感，形成特殊纹理；

与我们对常规铝板在日常中认识不一样的是，摈弃铝板原始精致/易维护的原始属性，刮擦所形成的痕迹本身被认为是不美观的，而我们将此放大，形成与石头厚重质感相匹配的明亮的，带有反射感的表面肌理。

The aluminum panels were meticulously sanded with circular motions to create a scratched, tactile texture—intentionally subverting expectations.

Unlike conventional aluminum (prized for its pristine finish and easy maintenance), we embraced the "flaws": the very scratches typically deemed unsightly were amplified. This process yielded a luminous, reflective surface whose raw imperfections paradoxically harmonize with the weighty, geological essence of stone.
