We are Identity Architects

As a worldwide leading interdisciplinary studio for architecture, design and communication, this is what shapes the way we think and work. Our approach is analytical, conceptual, solution-oriented and formative. And always exciting, open-minded, curious and impassioned. All this helps us design unmistakable identities with relevance.

We are looking for:

Senior Interior Designer (f/m/d) – Project Leader – Shopping Mall Design

What you will do:

 - Take a leading creative role within one of our Shanghai large-scale project teams, driving the future of commercial mall design.
Lead and inspire a small design team (2–5 members) on new and ongoing mall projects.

Actively shape the design process, especially in the early phases (pitches, concept, schematic design).

Prepare compelling design presentations while coordinating team output—contributing ideas, guiding direction, and clearly communicating design strategies to leadership.

Oversee daily project operations: managing new design requirements, submissions, and ensuring the translation of our company’s design values into each project.

Co-represent the team in client presentations, meetings, and design workshops.

What we expect from you:

 - 5–10 years of professional experience in interior architecture or mall design.

 - Proven experience in designing at least two shopping mall projects in China.

 - Broader interior design expertise across other fields (e.g., public spaces, museums, retail, sales centers) is highly valued.

 - Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a small team effectively.

 - Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with strong presentation and argumentation abilities.

 - Fluency in Mandarin and good command of English.

 - High design and technical competence, paired with an innovative mindset.

 - Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, and other design software; knowledge of advanced 3D tools and AI applications is a plus.

 - Self-motivated, open-minded, and collaborative, with a passion for design innovation and global implementation.

What you will do:

Contribute to ambitious shopping mall and workspace projects, delivering innovative and unique design solutions.

Develop interior concepts with a strong focus on both creative vision and technical execution.

Create and present integrated interior-architectural solutions that bring design strategies to life.

Engage in projects from concept to completion, with responsibilities tailored to your skills, performance, and interests.

What we expect from you:

2–3+ years of professional experience in interior design (architecture design experience is a strong plus).

Proven experience in public space or building design, ideally in shopping malls, retail, or workspaces.

Strong design sensibility combined with solid technical skills. Passion for innovative design thinking and global implementation.

Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape, and AutoCAD; knowledge of Rhino and Grasshopper is an advantage.

Independent, reliable, and structured work approach, combined with strong teamwork qualities.

Open-minded, interdisciplinary thinker with high self-motivation.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.

Fluency in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Then it’s you we want!
