Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects (SHL) office in Shanghai have new openings for experienced Architects and Senior Architects.

With over 30 years of experience, Schmidt Hammer Lassen is one of Scandinavia’s most recognized and award-winning architectural practices.  Working out of studios in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Shanghai the practice is working on projects around the world. We are deeply committed to the Nordic traditions of democracy, welfare, aesthetics, sustainability, materials, space and light.

Currently the Schmidt Hammer Lassen Shanghai office has numbers of active projects in China and Asia, across varied typologies from Libraries, Museums, Theatres, Work-place, Interior, Education and Masterplans.

The candidates must have a proven record of accomplishment in designing and delivering world-class projects for applicants for Senior Architect positions. Experience of working in China and/or with projects in China is a major plus.

Qualifications：

• 5+ years’ experience on large scale and complex projects

• Experienced user of 3D Revit Architecture /AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and/or 3D studio Max

• Proven experience of team management and leadership a must for applicants for Senior Architect positions.

• Fluency in English. Spoken mandarin or other languages are a plus

• You can work independently as well as joining a cross cultural project team

• You interact with your colleagues in a positive, result oriented and creative manner

Architectural Intern / Shanghai 2021

Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects are looking for talented architectural students for the combined practice with Perkins&Will in our studio in Shanghai.

Shanghai is the most populous city in the World and our staff meets after work to explore the fantastic city. Our studio is placed in the Shanghai Former French Concession and has an international and creative atmosphere. The office language is English. 

We offer you an educational and challenging internship for a period of 6 months. Maybe even longer if there is a good match between you and the studio. 

Besides holding a Bachelor degree, you have to be a proficient user of Adobe, Revit, AutoCad 2D/3D or 3D Studio Max/Rhino in order to get a successful internship. 

Financial support during the internship is an option.
