在香港最具活力的地区之—— 湾仔的核心地带，Area-17 建筑与室内设计事务所为高叶律师行打造了全新的总部，将传统律师事务所转变为一个以清晰、宁静与联结为核心的空间。这是一处植根于香港传统、充满信任感的现代绿洲。其设计理念是将城市的活力与自然的安稳感及文化记忆相融合，既体现了法律行业的专业严谨，又满足了人们对舒适与情感舒缓的需求。
In the heart of Wan Chai, one of Hong Kong’s most vibrant districts, Area-17 Architecture & Interiors has crafted the new headquarters of Hugill & Ip, transforming the traditional law office into a space where clarity, calm, and connection come to the forefront. A contemporary oasis of trust rooted in Hong Kong’s tradition. The guiding idea is to blend the energy of the city with the reassuring presence of nature and cultural memory. It’s a design approach that speaks to both the professional rigor of a legal practice and the human need for comfort and emotional ease.
受香港独特肌理与色调的启发，该空间采用了微水泥、金属和手工瓷砖等材料，搭配深绿色与暖红色的色调组合，巧妙呼应了这座城市的身份特质。这种材质选择既让办公室扎根于本地环境，又彰显出精致的现代感。
Inspired by Hong Kong’s textures and tones, the space features microcement, metal, and handcrafted tiles, with a palette of deep greens and warm reds, a subtle nod to the city’s identity. This materiality grounds the office in its local context while expressing a refined and contemporary sensibility.Throughout the space, natural elements and filtered light create an atmosphere that’s both welcoming and serene.
整个空间中，自然元素与过滤后的光线共同营造出既亲切又宁静的氛围。绿植、有机饰面，以及公共区域与私人区域之间的柔和过渡，都有助于提升思维清晰度与情绪健康，让客户一踏入这里就能感受到安全感与舒适感。布局的核心是“龙门”，这一极具力量的建筑设计植根于传统象征意义。它不仅是一个雕塑元素，更标志着一道门槛，象征着向安全与信心的过渡。穿过龙门便来到办公室的中心区域，这里有一个圆形木质图书馆，既作为视觉焦点，又引导着通往会议室与工作区的动线。
Plants, organic finishes, and soft transitions between public and private areas work together to support mental clarity and emotional well-being, making clients feel secure and at ease the moment they arrive.
At the core of the layout stands the Dragon Gate, a powerful architectural gesture rooted in traditional symbolism. More than just a sculptural element, it marks a threshold, a transition toward safety and confidence. This feature leads to the central area of the office, where a circular wooden library acts as a visual anchor and distributes the flow toward meeting and work spaces.
其他标志性元素包括：用于保障隐私又保持开放感的过滤玻璃隔断；能柔化空间并界定各个区域的定制地毯；采用手工瓷砖装饰的家具，呼应本地工艺；以及以瓷砖 communal table 为中心的多功能咖啡区，供非正式会议与日常交流使用。
通过这个项目，Area-17为法律行业的办公空间设计提供了新视角—— 不仅注重专业性与功能性，更强调共情、温暖与信任。这是一个能让人感受到被接纳、被尊重，并愿意积极投入的空间。
Other defining elements include: filtered glass partitions for privacy and openness; custom carpeting that softens and defines each zone; furnishings clad in artisanal tiles, referencing local craftsmanship; multifunctional café area, centered around a tiled communal table for informal meetings and daily interaction.
With this project, Area-17 offers a new vision for legal workplace design, one that prioritizes not only professionalism and functionality, but also empathy, warmth, and trust. A space where people feel invited, respected, and ready to engage.
