Jiangwan City Children's Activity Center is located in the west of the International Exhibition Center in Jianye District, Nanjing, on the former site of the original Yanlord International Jiangwan City Sales Office. Adhering to the concept of sustainable development and taking into consideration the beauty and practicality of the space also the safety and health of children, FANAF design team aims to create a small world different from the community in the fast-paced urban living space. On the basis of satisfying children’s playfulness, In order to adapt to the teaching activities of different quality and level.

江湾城儿童活动中心位于南京市建邺区国际展览中心西部，坐落在原仁恒国际江湾城售楼处的旧址上。反几设计团队秉承可持续发展理念，兼顾空间的美观实用性与儿童安全健康，旨在快节奏的城市生活空间中创造出一个有别于社区的纯净小世界，在满足幼儿嬉戏的基础上，以适应不同质量和水平的幼儿教学活动。

The original building is a regular rectangle, and the internal space has a number of columns that hinder the division of the area. On the contrary, FANAF design team extended the stretch of the internal space by integrating the extra vertical lines in the space, at the same time, the space enclosed by multiple rounded corners was used the continuous curved walls are connected to make a zigzag corridor using the negative space generated to guide the transformation order of the functional space.

原建筑空间为常规矩形，内部空间有若干妨碍区域分割的柱体，反几设计团队通过整合空间内多余竖向线条，延伸内部空间的舒展性；同时将多个缺角圆形围合的空间用连续的弧形墙面连接起来，利用产生的负空间做出一条曲折的走廊，引导功能空间的转换秩序。

In the visual center of the space, a pure white "Pearl" book tower is set, and around it, there are multiple language learning classrooms, programming and practice classrooms, small performance stages, lounges for children aged 6-15.There are other supporting spaces to meet the needs of teaching, reading, hand-made and daily activities. Each space is extended with minimalist and soft colors.

在空间的视觉中心，设置了一座纯白色的“珍珠”书塔，并以其为中心设置有面向6-15岁青少年儿童的多个语言学习教室、编程及实践教室、小型演出舞台、休息室等配套空间，满足授课、阅读、幼儿手工制作以及日常活动需求。各空间皆以极简柔和的色彩互为延展，保持着具有立体感的联系。

The development of the design concept is based on the theme of scallops and the ocean. The inspiration comes from the curve of the scallop's abstract form change. At the same time, it has both educational independence. In the entire fusion space, children are given more room for imagination.

设计概念发展以扇贝、海洋为主题，灵感来自于扇贝抽象形态变化的曲线，反几设计团队将扇贝简化得到的缺角圆形发挥运用到空间各区域，让每一间教室在保证私密性的同时，兼具教育独立性。在整个融合的空间中，以更包容的设计语言留给孩子们更多想象的空间。

The entrance design separately considers the sense of order and space atmosphere, has a seating area and a reception desk. Its design language is composed of vertically equidistant grilles, which is separate from the internal children's activity space. It provides a space for consultation and rest, and is equipped with a stool that meets the children's standards.

入口设计分别考虑了秩序感和空间氛围，设置有休息区与接待前台，其设计语言由竖向等距的格栅组成，与内部幼儿活动空间区分开来。提供了可供咨询、休憩的空间，并设置有符合儿童尺度的坐凳。

The entire entrance hall is designed as a flowing stage for children to report on performances. The abstract deformation based on the image of scallops extends the arc of the classroom. The stage ladder is designed as a circular arc, which guides the space and also plays a role in protecting the safety of young children.

整个入口门厅被设计成了一个具有流动感的舞台，可供幼儿汇报演出，基于扇贝形象的抽象变形，延伸了教室的弧线感。舞台阶梯设计为圆弧形，引导空间的同时亦起到保护幼儿安全的作用。

The "book tower" located in the center of the space vision is the core of the entire space. In addition to the decorative function, the stacked book tower can be linked with the children's "reading card". As the grade rises, the book tower can be lit up step by step until graduation. While adapting to educational needs, it can stimulate children's interest in reading.

位于空间视觉中心的“书塔”，是整个空间最核心所在，层叠结构的书塔除满足装饰功能之外，能够与幼儿“阅读卡”产生联动，随着年级上升能够逐级点亮书塔阅读范围，直至毕业。适应教育需求的同时，能够激发孩子们的阅读兴趣。

Fully consider the space flow lines and indoor lighting, the glass partition of the corridor and the classroom is formed by the tangent of the elliptical sphere and the curved wall, covering the shape of white gradient dots, combined with the white glass partition embedded in the wall, echoing the scallops inlaid with pearls Design ideas. While giving the corridor space a sense of transparency, it also makes the children's play routes more diverse and gives more imagination.

充分考虑空间流线及室内采光，走廊与教室的玻璃隔断由椭圆球体与弧线墙体相切形成，覆盖白色渐变圆点造型，结合嵌在墙体上的白色玻璃隔断，呼应扇贝镶嵌珍珠的设计思路。赋予走廊空间通透感的同时，也使孩子们的游戏路线更加多元化且赋予了更多想象。

In the use of colors and materials, the overall space design is extremely simple but focused on the sense of detail. The wood decoration and white latex paint are used to lay the pure tone of the space; the semi-transparent polka-dot tempered glass is used for safety and boundary; the wall corner , Door handles and other facilities are treated with rounded corners, soft decoration in the space fully considers the scale of children and daily activities.

在色彩与材质的运用上，整体空间设计极尽简约但专注细节感，以木饰面及白色乳胶漆奠定空间纯净基调；采用半透明圆点钢化玻璃兼顾安全并营造边界感；墙面阳角、门把手等设施均以圆角化处理，空间内软装充分考虑幼儿尺度与日常活动需求。

Where children's hearts are directed, all educational spaces are optimized in a design way; where children's  limbs are, all sharp edges are protected by soft arcs. Through the reorganization of the design language, it creates an educational and entertaining space for children.

孩子们的心灵所向之处，一切教育的空间都以设计的方式优化；孩子们的肢体所及之处，一切锐利的边缘都由柔软的弧线保护。反几通过设计语言的组织重构，为孩子们创造了一片寓教于乐的冒险空间。
