In 2023, ELA intends to explore with industry pioneers how landscape design can make new contributions to carbon reduction, truly focus on human needs, and continuously create works with sustainable value in the context of China's "dual carbon" strategy. ELA expects more low-carbon and sustainable landscape projects, pursuing innovation and improvement in aspects such as sustainability, natural integration, technological integration, and social space, combining the latest domestic and foreign design concepts, leading market trends in cutting-edge thinking, and exploring various innovative practices based on the low-carbon concept, showcasing results centered around people and building a green future.

Innovative Landscaping for a Green Future

ELA takes the award as a carrier to convey our views of the human settlement environments and the landscape design ideas to broader areas through the industry exchange activities, for contributing to the improvement of criterions and standards of the whole industry.

We are rooted in the ELA platform for the exchange of ideas, and launch the ELA landscape forum to explore hot topics in the industry from a media perspective, to provide all excellent landscape designers with a platform for expression, discussion and common progress.

Excellent Group Award

• ELA Innovative Company of The Year

  Innovative Company Award recognizes design companies that have launched outstanding and influential innovative products or services in the landscape design market. The companies that receive the Innovative Company Award are considered by the selection committee to have a high level of technology, design, management, marketing, and other aspects. They polish their competitiveness through continuous innovation and stable output, and have mature and diversified designed products.

  Companies applying for this award must also apply for other project awards of the current session.

Outstanding Individual Award

• ELA Innovator Person Of The Year

  The award aims to recognize designers with outstanding talent and innovative spirit in the field of landscape design. They possess innovative thinking and imagination, able to propose unprecedented design concepts and solutions; have high professional skills and experience in the design field, able to translate creativity into actual products; pursue quality and details to the highest degree, able to reflect unique aesthetics and personality in design; possess excellent leadership and teamwork skills, actively promoting the development of the company's business line.

  Individuals applying for this award must be members of the team participating in the current competition project of the company.

Integrated Awards For Project

• ELA Top Ten Landscape Projects of the Year

  The best integrated landscape design projects of the year will be selected by the evaluation committee and the online voting. (Other individual awards may be applied at the same time)

• ELA Social Impact Award of the Year

  The award program has a significant impact on people's quality of life. The commitee will evaluate the projects by how they promoting healthy and positive lifestyles, carrying forward community spirit, using sustainable resources effectively for construction and operation, and preservating biodiversity. Contestant should also demonstrate a range of strategies for making a positive contribution to the local economy.

• ELA Healing Landscape Award of the Year

  Designers have paid more attention to the aesthetic connotation and ecological function of landscape all along ." Healing "is an important but underestimated landscape function. Designers establish a relationship between human and nature through their works, in order to heal the heart of urban residents. The healing landscape should be focused on the change of user's psychology, and the construction is more economical than the large public landscape. The main types include, but are not limited to, meditation gardens, convalescent gardens, rehabilitation gardens, medical gardens, experience gardens, etc.

Single Award For Project

• ELA Best Residential Landscape Award of the Year

  This award includes a variety of residential development projects, historical buildings and old residential reconstruction, renovation or protection projects, TOD residential development, etc.

• ELA Best Demonstration Area Landscape Award of the Year

  This award will be given to real estate landscape demonstration area and model area project. As a model of real life, demonstration area should make potential users experiencing the atmosphere and lifestyle of the future community, thus realizing the intention of consumption guidance. The creative mining in landscape design endows the personality and soul of the site, and realizes the purpose of touching the users and establishing the brand image of the enterprise.

• ELA Best Technological Innovation Landscape Award of the Year

  Achieving the wonderful harmony of the hi-tech elements and natural or artificial landscape, ELA is committed to break the traditional "static aesthetic" mode, and to realize the interaction between people and space by diversifying new media art form and digital technology. ELA is also adhering to the concept of "environmental protection, energy saving, health living” to develop high quality landscape projects which seek for the harmonious symbiosis between human and nature by high-tech solutions.

• ELA Best Open Space Landscape Award of the Year

  This award encourages the most valuable development space projects in urban growth, which prepare for the regeneration of future cities, provide outdoor recreation places for urban residents, urban squares, parks and green spaces with disaster prevention and landscape functions, as well as green belts, green roads, park roads, trails, river corridors, heritage corridors and other projects.

• ELA Best Commercial Landscape Award of the Year

  This award includes shopping centers, shopping malls, shopping parks, shopping streets, retail centers and outdoor space items including commercial office buildings, hotels, etc.

• ELA Best Ecological Landscape Award of the Year

  It covers many professional directions, such as ecological landscape design and ecological town construction,The setting ofgreen environmental protection awards is aimed to encourage the participation of environmental protection and ecological technology, and to recognize the contribution to environmental sustainability.

• ELA Best Urban Renewal Project Award of the Year

  This award includes old industrial areas, storage areas reuse, and urban villages, traditional building reconstruction, public space function enhancement and other projects.

• ELA Art Installation Award of the Year

  This award is set for landscape furniture sketch beyond the traditional sense , like sculpture, lamps, chairs and stools, more emphasis on artistic expression, public participation, material breadth and creative means of diversification, architectural expression of overlapping and extension, high-tech applications.

Entry Process

• Phase I:
  Registration (June. 19 to Dec.10, 2023) The contestants log on ELA official website www.ela.cn and sign up online.
  Process summary description:
  ①Register Web site username；
  ②To fill in basic information online (company and contact information) ；
  ③Adds project information；
  ④send the materials to the Organizing Committee email box ( award@archina.com)

• Phase 2:
  The preliminary evaluation of shortlisted works will be published by the ARCHINA and ELA public by Oct 30. If you participate in the ELA Landscape Award, the submission of information shall be deemed to agree to the exhibition.

• Phase 3:
  Online voting + committee experts selection (Oct 30-Nov. 10, 2023)

• Phase 4:
  Award announcement (November, 2023)

• Phase 5:
  Awards Ceremony and 2023 ELA Innovative Landscape Forum (December 2023@Haikou, Hainan)

  The above four steps are operated in order，but you don't have to do it all at once.

Application Requirements and Materials

• Landscape projects which completed before Apr.1 2022 or at least into the construction stage .

• Brief description of the project design , 800-1500 words, in word or ppt form.

• Photo/video/ GIF, HD original image, quantity: 15-30 .(base original picture, project scene picture, construction process photo, effect picture, related drawing and company logo picture.

• Please send the above materials to the Organizing Committee email box (award@archina.com) with the subject of "Company name+Project code generated by the website (automatically generated after filling in the project information)".
