近日，Gensler大中华区执行总裁李晓梅女士受邀出席2019年美国建筑师学会（AIA）国际区域大会并发表题为“超越可持续发展：塑造城市未来”演讲。在她的演讲中，李晓梅分享了Gensler如何应对未来城市挑战的策略，其中由于人类行为导致的气温升高与气候变化是其中最为严峻的挑战。Gensler已经做出了承诺，通过旨在保护地球生态环境的弹性设计解决方案，以提升人类体验为核心，到2030年我们参与的项目将实现净零碳排放。这项宏伟的目标将通过缓解策略以及自适应策略来实现。缓解策略包括低影响开发，保存现有结构，节能建筑围护结构，应用建筑智能技术等。自适应策略包括如栖息地再生，关注水平衡，建筑灵活性，新的交通和互联解决方案和智能技术模型，以重新思考和重塑我们的基础设施和建筑环境。

Gensler’s Regional Managing Principal Xiaomei Lee recently attended as a speaker the AIA IR 2019 Conference. During her speech titled “Beyond Sustainability: shaping the future of cities”, Xiaomei Lee shared the firm’s perspective around the big upcoming challenges of the future: the rise in temperature and climate change caused by human interference and actions is probably the toughest one, and Gensler made a commitment to drive the footprint of its portfolio towards the net zero by 2030, using resilient design solutions aimed at restoring the biocapacity of the planet, while gradually evolving the dimensions of human experience towards net zero environmental impact. This ambitious goal will be achieved through mitigation strategies like low impact development, preservation of existing structures, energy-efficient building envelopes, and use of building intelligence technologies, and adaptation strategies as habitat regeneration, attention to water balance, building flexibility, new mobility and connectivity solutions and smart technology models, to rethink and reshape our infrastructures and built environment.

李晓梅特别提到，在应对气候变化挑战的过程中，缓解及自适应等弹性策略显得尤为重要。

Xiaomei Lee highlighted the importance of resilient strategies like mitigation and adaption in addressing the climate change challenge.

这些自适应模型将逐步的恢复地球的生物承载力，同时提升人类体验。

These adaptive models will gradually restore the biocapacity of the planet while at the same time evolving the human experience.

新的出行方式将会重塑街道景观，被占领的道路空间将还给人们。无人驾驶汽车和空乘共享时代即将到来，在此之际，Gensler致力于塑造未来出行，重塑城市面貌。

New modes of mobility are giving roadways and streetscapes back to people. With autonomous vehicles and aerial ride-share on the horizon, Gensler is shaping mobility for the future and transforming the world’s cities.

为了提升用户体验，务必要将新技术融入设计之中。传感器、人工智能、数据平台等前沿技术能帮助我们打造以用户为中心的建筑，营造更具灵活性的空间，同时提升综合体验。

It is important to think of technology in service of the people’s experience. New technology like Sensors, AI, data platforms can help us to create user-centric buildings, adaptive spaces and improve the overall experience.

作为大中华区的联合执行总裁，李晓梅女士密切关注整个区域的运营及发展。其20余年的行业经验涵盖从总体规划、高层建筑、企业园区及办公空间设计等各种规模及复杂程度不一的项目。她以客户为本的理念和对项目当地情况的深入理解，及对项目国际交付标准的熟知，极大的推进了中国业务的发展，并成功将上海办公室打造成为了设计创新中心。她任职于Gensler的董事会和管理委员会，是推进Gensler高层建筑设计领域的关键人物，她曾担任中国最高建筑- 632米上海中心的项目总监。

As Co-Regional Managing Principal for the Greater China Region, Xiaomei closely oversees the growth and development of the region. Xiaomei has more than 20 years of experience and has directed projects of diverse and complex scale from master planning and tall building architecture, to corporate campus and workplace interiors.  Her client-centric approach and deep understanding of local context, paired with broad knowledge of international standards of delivery has been instrumental in the growth of our Greater China practice, and in shaping the Shanghai hub office as a design innovation center. She serves on Gensler’s Board of Directors and Management Committee and has been deeply involved in advancing Gensler’s Tall Building practice, including acting as the project director for the 632-meter-high Shanghai Tower, China’s tallest building.
