法国AS建筑工作室设计的上海“中华”牌卷烟厂于2012年投入使用。项目占地6.12万平方米，按照烟草生产的工艺流水线来设计新厂房的建筑形象及周围景观设计。Shanghai “Chunghwa” Brand Tobacco Factory designed by Architecture Studio has been put into operation in 2012. The newly built plant covers an area of 61,200m2, and main design work is architectural image and supporting environment. 
项目基地位于上海杨浦区，内环线以内，在一片具有强烈都市特色的区域内建设一些大型工业厂房是本项目的一大难点，工作室充分考虑与周边环境的关系，注重人文和谐，结合建设用地、环境情况，工艺要求等，以打造环保、绿色、低碳，和谐发展的都市型工业厂房为根本出发点。
The base is located in Yangpu District, within the inner line. It is difficult to build some large-scale industrial plants in a strong urban characteristics area. The studio fully considers the relationship with the surrounding environment, focuses on human harmony, combines the construction land, environment, and processing requirements, and takes the creation of environmental protection, green, low-carbon, and harmonious development of urban industrial plants as the fundamental starting point.
建筑主体分为两栋厂房- 生产工房与辅助工房。由于市区的土地狭小，而厂房体量庞大，工作室将建筑进行纵向延展，形成多层厂房。它们的造型与立面设计是在并不宽松的城市空间当中，在给定工艺平面及主体结构的条件下完成的。
The new building includes two workshops - production workshop and supporting workshop. Due to the narrow urban land and large workshop volume, the studio extends the building vertically to form a multi-storey workshop. Their modeling and facade design is completed under the condition of given craft plan and main structure in not loose urban space.
市区中完成厂房的建设，对建筑所形成的环境提出较高的要求。生产工房正立面如大屏幕般反射着地面的景观，出挑的前端陶土顶棚又如天安门城楼的金瓦顶盖般深邃悠远。Plant construction in the urban area calls highly demands for the environment the architecture makes. The positive façade reflects landscape of the floor like a big screen, the overhanging front argil top shed is profound like the golden tile of Tian An Men.
生产工房主体立面采用色调温和的绿色建材陶土板，良好的保温隔热性，平整自洁的特性，其材质将工业建筑的个性以软化的方式进行表达，并延续了上海烟厂传统建筑的色调和材料质感。屋顶造型形成沿建筑一周的顶篷，各主体建筑一次达到了和谐统一。Principle part of the façade will adopt argil board which has a moderate tone, with good thermal insulation, smooth self-cleaning characteristics, weakening the confrontation, and continues the tone and material texture of traditional buildings in Shanghai Tobacco Factory. The roof shape forms a roof around the building, and the main buildings achieve harmony and unity at one time.
生产工房沿主要道路的立面上，设计了反射沿街景观的镜面不锈钢。条形不锈钢间隔玻璃幕墙的设计既提供室内的采光又兼顾视觉需要，不锈钢镜面向下倾斜，根据建筑前景观的宽窄计算出倾角，通过反射别出心裁地延伸了景观空间。充分体现了当代工业建筑重技术、重材料、重细部的特征。
Production workshop alongside the façade of the main road specially designs mirror stainless steel that reflects the landscape. Stainless steel pop out wall surface designed by horizontal stripe, the removed glass curtain provides lighting indoor and visual demand. Stainless steel surface declines downwards, calculating obliquity according to width of the landscape before build, making people alongside the street all can see the complete landscape design, which fully embodies the characteristics of modern industrial buildings that attach importance to technology, materials and details.
辅助工房不同于其它厂房的方正平面，建筑的平面为L型，在体量与形式上与其它厂房差别较大，故方案中设计了陶土百叶的延伸立面，从形式上规整统一了厂房建筑形象，而未对使用有任何功能上的影响，且在一定程度上减小了内部货车往来对外部居住环境造成的影响。The supporting workshop is different from the square plane of other plants, the plane will be in “L” type, and there will be much difference in measure and form from other workshops. So, the program designs argil louver extension façade, unifying plant architecture image in the form, but have not any influence in the function , and reduce the influence of vehicle for the external living environment.
在设计总体建筑形象及环境的同时，一些细节的处理也是不容忽略的。
Besides design of the overall architectural image and environment, treatment of some details should not be neglected at the same time.
a.新厂房的屋面上，为了减少对景观的影响，将屋面设备尽量置于顶棚下，或尽量集中布置，以隔栅遮挡。In order to reduce the influence to landscape, the surface equipment are tried to be put under the top shed or arrange collectively with grille to block.
b.两条过街架空连廊的设计最大程度上减少了对道路交通、周边居民的影响，同时便捷了厂房间的内部交通；
The design of the two overhead corridors reduces the impact on road traffic and surrounding residents to the greatest extent, and facilitates the internal traffic of each plant;
c.为减少光污染，没有大面积的玻璃幕墙设计，且使用的幕墙玻璃均采用高透光的防辐射玻璃。简洁的U型玻璃墙面设计为城市景观划过一道亮线。To reduce light pollution, there is not large area glass curtain wall design, and the glass all adopt highlight radiation protection glass. The concise U type glass wall surface contribute the city a beautiful view.
工作室希望建筑在占用空间的同时，当对环境还以美好；建筑在创造空间的同时，也要让此空间为其使用者长生。城市，让生活更美好；工厂，也要让城市更生态。The Studio hopes: while occupies space, the architecture will increase beauty to the environment; while creating space, the architecture will make the space to long-live for the user. City makes life more beautiful，and factory makes city more zoology.
