项目理念：

项目在接到委托之初就是一个不同于传统全封闭社区的设定，业主希望将住区围墙内退，向外营造一条开放有地域文化且具有烟火气的公共商业街区，串联南侧的江浦公园和东侧的滨河绿带，打造一条为住户及周边居民提供无限可能的城市绿谷。项目结合建筑片石式多层次布局，将江浦公园绿意引入街区，通过对林间，溪涧，山谷等自然空间的提炼和现代诠释，融入多种商业及居住功能，形成独特的自然式沉浸商业空间体验。

Project concept:

This project has been positioned, uponentrustment, to create a public commercial district that is different from thetraditional fully-enclosed community. The project owner hopes that the fence ofthe residential area can be retreated so as to create a public commercial districtwith a worldly life and demonstrating regional culture. As planned, thecommercial district will connect the Jiangpu Park in the south and theriverside greenbelt in the east to create an urban green valley with infinitepossibilities for residents here and nearby to explore. Combining therubble-style multilayered distribution of the architecture, this project willextend the greenness of the Jiangpu Park to the district, and integrate manycommercial and residential functions through refinement and moderninterpretations of natural spaces, such as woodlands, mountain streams, andvalleys, to achieve immersive commercial space experience that is both uniqueand natural.

项目阐释：

项目的沿街面由西侧的展示中心和东侧的水吧组成，向中心街区分别延申了儿童活动、餐厅、茶室、归家大堂等不同的室内功能，建筑设计本身就提供了丰富而有活力的空间，但是功能需求多样复杂，景观如何在满足所有功能的要求下把错落的空间整合在一起，成为本项目思考的重点。建筑以绿谷为概念，将其营造出山石之感。景观设计希望延续与建筑一致的设计语言，使空间整体和谐统一。于是将建筑的基本形态元素进行缩放渐变，形成更近人尺度的空间，将室内外空间联动，形成外有广场，内设院落的空间布局。并用自然作为基底来统一及柔化所有空间，形成林间、溪涧和山间三重自然式体验。

Project exposition:

The project consists ofthe exhibition center in the west and the water bar in the east along thestreet. Different interior functions, including children’s activity spaces,restaurants, tea houses, home-returning halls and so on, are extended,respectively, towards the central district. The architectural design itself hasincluded a great variety of vigorous spaces, but due to the complexity offunctional demands, how the landscape should integrate the staggering spacestogether in accordance with all functional requirements has become the focus ofthis project. The landscape design has inherited the design language that isconsistent with the architectural design. On that basis, scaling and gradientchanges are conducted on the landscape design to build connection between theinterior and exterior spaces, and to form a spatial layout which has the squareexternally and the courtyard internally.

林间:

林间紧靠江浦公园，设计希望将城市公园延申进场地中，形成多层次立体的城市绿谷。将原本一穿到底的宽大冰冷的硬质消防通道分为几段后再调整为曲线，于是生硬的功能性消防空间摇身一变成为了宜人的游憩性景观游廊。如中国古典园林的对景造园一般，每5到10米的游路端景都是特选造型植物，结合两侧夹道的婀娜乌桕，阳光在地面上投下婆娑的树影，营造出一片古老森林氛围。同时利用这中间4m多宽的消防通道，形成一个线性的林下活动广场。剩下的绿化宽度仅剩不到5m，作为城市广场来说非常充裕，但是如果想要打造林间的概念还远远不够，我们将底层转化成绿丘来提升场地内绿化的体量感。

Woodland

两个类型的城市家具都围绕着这个线性广场设置，一种是拾阶而上的多人平台，它延续了建筑片石的概念，叠级上的栏杆扶手犹如跳动的音符上下起伏。不同的高差形成视线上的互动，形成有趣的看与被看的关系，从城市界面也激发行人进入场地中一探究竟的好奇心。另一种则为无障碍的轻盈而悬浮的长椅，从地面铺装翻折而形成的不同高度也同时可以满足成人和儿童的不同尺度需求。

展示中心的二楼是一个为街区住户提供的共享花园，前期需要结合展示中心内书店的功能，而后期要顾及社区健身房及住户的需求。花园先是被划分为私密和相对公共的两个分区。靠近书店的一侧为阅读共享空间，可以在读书的同时欣赏对面的蜿蜒起伏郁郁葱葱的小树林。小树林的结束是一片小广场，前期可举办小型的活动，后期则室外瑜伽提供了一片林荫空间。

The second floor of the exhibition center is agarden shared by district residents. The pre-stage design should combine thebookstore functions of the exhibition center, while the post-stage designshould accommodate to needs of the community gym and residents. The garden isfirst divided into two areas, the private are and the relatively public area.The side that is close to the bookstore is the public reading space, whichallows users to read books while appreciating the winding and green small-scaleforest. At the end of the forest is a little square. In the preliminarydevelopment stage, small-scale activities can be organized, while in the latedevelopment stage, a space under the tree shade can be provided for outdooryoga. 

花园的另一侧为一个享受自然的私密花园，植物是最好的芳疗师，住户可以感受植物四季的魅力，缓解城市生活的压力。精致小巧的挑台总是在不经意间探出，无声地邀请人们上去欣赏对面江浦的公园和上海地标的三件套。四个挑台的位置也是精心设置在项目几个昭示性点位，最西侧的挑台和灯笼般的景观廊架结合，提示着场地体验的开始。

溪涧：

溪涧是商业街的主入口，也是对面齐齐哈尔路正对的开口，可以说是整个示范区最重要的区域。入口两侧为延续原址里弄的肌理，特意收窄尺度，形成了老上海的里弄空间。开口正对的水吧分为两层，二层置身在水中的酒吧卡座区为项目中的一个特色区域。我们预留了一半的外摆空间为了提升整个区域的商业氛围，另一半则形成一片连续水面，三个卡座区置于水景中，被水面环绕，身处其中，宛若被水拥抱着。为了安全考虑设置的栏杆，巧妙的转换为特色灯光，其下方悬挂的三个可转动餐台，为满足不管是派对或者用餐的需求。

Brook

The brook is a main entrance for thecommercial district and also the entrance that is across the Qiqiha’er Road. Itis apt to say that the brook is the most important area of the wholedemonstration site. On two sides of the entrance is a continuation of themechanism of the neighborhood on the original site. The scale is purposefullynarrowed down to form the alley space of the old Shanghai. The water bar thatis directly across the entrance is divided into two floors. The second floor isthe pub booth area designed in the water, which is an area with its owncharacteristics in this project. Half of the space is reserved for externalbusiness operation to enhance the whole area’s business atmosphere. The otherhalf forms a continuous water surface. The three booths are located in thewater landscape and is surrounded by the water surface. The handrail set up forthe sake of safety is ingeniously converted to the special lighting. Threerotary dining tables are hanging downwards for parties or dining.

自然山谷中不仅有绿化山体，还有溪流瀑布。我们抽象提炼山谷溪流这一自然元素，设计了环抱式的跌级流水装置，强调了水吧的特质，最大程度增加了二层水景对整个项目的影响。跌水和悬挑的叠级种植池形成了主入口的艺术装置，不同的跌落角度同时满足了四个方向的观赏需求。既突出了项目的标识性，也提升了整个街区的艺术感，在前场打造出一个充满商业活力的艺术展厅。

正中间的跌水将入口街道自然的分成两部分，左侧我们仍保留为主流线，靠近水吧的右侧则规划为林下餐饮外摆空间，避免了如传统商业空间过于硬质化缺乏绿化的问题，做到了庭庭有树，院院有景。

The waterfall right in the middledivides the entrance district into two parts naturally. The left side remainsthe main flowline, while the right side close to the water bar is planned to beexternal dining space under trees. This can avoid the lack of greening due to ahard appearance of the traditional business space. Meanwhile, this can ensuregreenness and favorable landscape for every corner of this project.

山间：

穿过左侧主流线，就来到第三个分区, 中心区建筑高差错落，街道空间被多层绿化包围，形成类似山间的空间体验。在入口街区的尽头，相较于一个开敞无阻的流线，设计用一片热带雨林做为主流线的端景，将人流向右侧引导，仅仅保留一条漂浮在热带雨林上的汀步作为穿梭进山间的体验。山间以小空间为主，为营造绿谷的氛围，一方面需要最大化绿化空间，另一方面在面积和体量都很难增大的情况下，用阔叶植被形来提升整体绿量的感受，营造沉浸在丛林的空间氛围。并为未来无界餐厅和茶室场景预留出活动与外摆空间，为互动与休憩创造更多可能性，让室内也被丛林包围。儿童活动区（玩具岛）的入口，考虑到使用人群，设计形成了一个尺寸渐渐变小的下沉小剧场，为中心区增加了一定的趣味性。

Mountain:

Across the main flowline on the left isthe third section. The architecture is staggeringly distributed in the centraldistrict; the street space is surrounded by multiple layers of greening to forma spatial experience that is similar to be in the mountain. At the end of theentrance district is an open and barrier-free flowline. A tropical rainforestis adopted to form the view of the main flowline. The population flow is guidedto the right. The stepping stones floating on the water surface of the tropicalrainforest are reserved for visitors to experience going through the mountain.

The mountain features small spaces. In order to achieve the green valleyatmosphere, efforts should be made in two aspects. First, the green spaceshould be maximized. Second, when the area and mass are hard to increase, thebroad-leaved vegetation can be adopted to strengthen the perception of theoverall greenness and create an immersive forest atmosphere. Additionally, theactivity and external business space for the future unbounded restaurant andtea house are reserved to create more possibilities for interaction andrecreation. The interior space is surrounded by the jungle as well. Theentrance of children’s activity area (Toy Island) is designed into a smallsunken theater with a diminishing size, considering the main users. This can addmore fun to the central district.

山间的二层前期为参观样板房的主要流线，一侧同样保留了直接且通达平坦通路，在另一侧则形成了一个同样拾阶而上的休憩花园。不论是访客还是后期的住户，在慢下来的节奏中都可以更加悠闲的在挑台上与楼下的商业活动产生互动，同样的，他也成为了楼下的风景之一。

The second floor of the mountain is the mainflowline of the sample house for demonstration. One side maintains a direct andflat channel, while the other side forms a recreational park that is ascending.Either visitors or future residents can interact with the downstairs businessactivities on the cantilever more leisurely. Similarly, it has become part ofthe downstairs landscape. 

三个样板房入口花园，愿景是能够将未来的生活场景中的住宅花园带给未来的住户。因此尽可能用小花园正对主入口，作为和商业街的分隔。使用更具居住氛围的球阵组团结合入口景树，为住户完成从公共的商业氛围向归家入户转换的前序体验。

The entrance garden of the three samplehouses attempts to create a residential garden embedded in the living scenesfor future residents. Therefore, it is proposed that a small garden should bedesigned across the main entrance to demarcate here from the commercialdistrict. A ball-shaped cluster with a stronger residential atmosphere is combinedwith the entrance landscape trees to help residents finish the precedingexperience from the public business atmosphere to home.

最后，项目一开始就设定的城市绿谷主题，和TROP一直以来对于传统尺度巨大且过于硬质化的商业街区的质疑不谋而合。我们希望这是一个真正为人群使用创造无限可能的场所，而不是一个店招广告价值远大于人群体验感的铺装广场。场地应当能有温度，能承载记忆，能带给人感动，能感受到风吹来阳光洒满，树影婆娑，能闻到植物的清香能听到虫鸣。当场所的主人不再本末倒置，才能够带来长远且最大化的商业和社会价值，这是一场需要时间来验证的实践，让我们拭目以待。

At last, this project has set the themeof “urban green valley” from the very beginning, which coincides with the questioningover traditional commercial districts characterized by huge dimensions and ahard appearance. We hope that this can be a site which can create infinitepossibilities for users rather than a square with the value of stores andadvertisements outweighing the user experience. The site should be able to bring the warm feeling, carry memory, touch people, feel the wind blowing, sun shining, tree shadows whirling, smell the fragrance of plants and hear the sound of insects. When humans rather than storesand advertisements become masters of the palace, long-term and maximum businessand social value can be created. This architectural design calls for the testof time, and time will have an answer for whether this architectural design cancreate expected value. Let’s just wait and see.
