明晚（10月22日）20:00，SHL建筑事务所助理董事、资深项目建筑师林婧，将与中科院深圳理工大学图书馆筹备组顾问张甲先生、深圳北理莫斯科大学图书馆馆长朱强先生，以及上海纽约大学图书馆馆长祖晓静女士一同，参与由BEED Asia必达亚洲策划的圆桌对话直播活动——“如何打造一所面向未来的图书馆”。

Start on this Thursday, 22 October at 8 pm, Jing Lin, Associate and Senior Project Architect of Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects, will share library design perspectives at the panel discussion "How to build a library for thefuture", which organized by BEED Asia. Jing will talk about SHL's library practices together with Shenzhen Science and Technology University's library consultant, Shenzhen MSU-BIT's library director, and Shanghai NYU's library director.

英国阿伯丁大学图书馆 / 英国阿伯丁

University of Aberdeen Library / Aberdeen, UK

阿伯丁大学图书馆被设计成了一个大型立方体——10层高的建筑在阿伯丁湛蓝天空的映衬下格外醒目。视觉上的轻盈通透与建筑比例的协调、材质的选择及简单利落的线条，赋予了建筑永恒的品质。

University of Aberdeen Library is designed as one large rectangular volume – a 10-story building standing out in the Aberdeen skyscape. Visual lightness and airiness in combination with its proportionality, material spalette and clean lines lend the building a timeless quality.

建筑中庭部分的线条流畅而富有韵律，贯穿每个楼层，为整个建筑内部营造了连贯通透的视觉感受。中庭是整个图书馆的中心，与建筑直角几何的外观形成对比。

A large organic opening that cuts through the floors at every level creates continuous visual connections throughout the building's full height. This atrium is the central hub of the building. In contrast to the orthogonal geometry of the exterior.

布里斯托大学图书馆 / 英国布里斯托

University of Bristol Library / Bristol, UK

建成后的布里斯托大学新图书馆，将成为该校克利夫顿校区的新焦点，同时建筑也将融入布里斯托城市天际线，为城市带来一座全新的地标。

The University of Bristol’s landmark new library will transform the heart of its Clifton campus and provide an architecturally significant new building for the city. 

新图书馆将容纳2000个座位，拥有42万册藏书和7万册期刊。该项目是布里斯托大学克利夫顿校区改造计划的重要组成部分——旨在优化校园公共空间，为学生、教职员工，乃至邻近社区打造一个开放、包容的全新“社区中心”。

The library will accommodate learning and research space with capacity for 2,000 new study seats, 420,000 books, and 70,000 journals. The library forms a key part of the university’s vision and strategy for transforming the Clifton campus, which includes providing new and enhanced facilities, improvements to public spaces, and creating a welcoming heart to the university for students, staff, and the community at large.

即将开工的英国布里斯托大学图书馆，预计于2030年建成。目标冲击英国绿建BREEAM卓越认证。

The University of Bristol has a commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030 and the new library will complement this. A BREEAM (Building Research Environmental Assessment Method) rating of ‘Excellent’ is being targeted.
