自今年3月SWA暑假设计营招募信息公布于众之后，受到了来自国内外各大学院学生的广泛关注，通过网络申请我们收到超过110份候选人文件，通过层层资料审核及面试筛选，最终确定了六名优秀的学生成为2021年SWA中国Summer Program的正式学员，就在昨天，我们终于迎来了这群年轻的力量，让我们一起来认识一下他们吧。
Since the recruitment information of SWA Summer Program was announced to the public in March this year, it has received a lot of attention from students are attending major domestic or international universities. We received more than 110 online applications. After several rounds of application reviews and interviews, we identified six outstanding students to be the official members of SWA 2021 Summer Program in China. We finally welcomed the arrival of these young forces yesterday. 哈佛大学设计学院/Harvard Graduate School of Design建筑与城市设计硕士/Master of Architecture in Urban Design 我热衷于探索不同尺度的设计，寻找设计研究和实践之间的结合点。我的兴趣点包括景观对于增强城市韧性和促进城市可持续性的作用，城市文脉对于城市形态的影响，以城市大型活动为契机的城市更新等。I like to explore the design of different scales, trying to find the connection between design research and practice. 自20世纪中叶以来，复兴岛一直是一个航运港口、造船中心和仓库区，位于黄浦江与市中心外缘的交汇处，地理位置优越。在过去的90年里，它一直被一条小运河与中心区隔开，被称为上海中心区的一个隐形岛屿。SWA 2021年暑期设计营进入了这个被遗忘的领域，共同探索设计如何为这个独特的城市岛屿的未来创造一致性和新颖的特征。设计营为期七周的设计工作的目标是在一系列的规模上构思催化、可持续和弹性干预的可能性，从更大的城市背景开始，一直到物体或特定场景的形式赋予。为此，设计营包括七个连续和相关的部分：
Since the Mid‐20th century, Fuxing Island has serves as a shipping port, ship‐buildingcenter and warehouse district, strategically located at the intersection of Huangpu River and downtown’s outside edge. It has been isolated to District Center by a small canal for the past 90 years and known as an invisible islandin Shanghai central district. SWA’s 2021 summer student program ventures intothis forgotten territory to explore how design can create coherence and renewed character for the future of this unique urban island. The goal of the summer program’s seven‐week design studio is to conceptualize possibilities for catalytic, sustainable and resilient interventions at a range of scales,starting with the larger urban context and focusing down to object or site-specific form‐giving. To that end, the studio includes seven continuous and related segments:

每周将由上海工作室的设计师轮流带领，美国的工作室也会每周与学员们连线，介绍各自的实践经验。来自上海的特邀演讲嘉宾也将提供关于各种问题的观点。第三周作为一个中期节点，将以学员作品的评比展示为主，这将为他们在接下来的几周的设计打下初步的基础。在第七周将举行终期的汇报和交流。
Each week will be led by different SWA faculty. Guest speakers will provide perspectives on a variety of issues. As a milestone, Week 3 will end with juried presentations of students’ work which composes as a comprehensive basis for their further design in following weeks. The studio will conclude with a final review and reception at the end of Week 7.
