铁枫堂研发大楼

科技与自然是本案的两个关键词。他们是我从业主的主力产品,石斛饮料中体会到的核心特质。研发大楼既是研发办公用房,也是品牌展示中心,我们希望创造与品牌形象一致的空间气氛。

 

Our design started with two key words, technology and nature. They are the core qualities that I extracted from the owner's main product, Dendrobium beverage. The R&D building is not only a R&D office space, but also a brand showroom, and we want to create an atmosphere that is coincident with the brand image.

初至现场,除了裸露的混凝土和满堂脚手架,窗外雁荡山胜景也令我震撼。我希望山水延申至室内。


For the first time to the site. I was shocked not only by the rough concrete, the scaffolding  full fill the atrium, but also the beautiful scenery of Yan Dang Mountain outside the window. I hope to extract the landscape inside.

第二个主题元素是铝板。我们为研发空间选择了白色,凸显其光洁。铝板,像一面镜子模糊了造景与白色的边界,反射了阳光和人的活动。科技感十足,灵动又呼应自然。


Besides landscaping, the next theme that came to mind was aluminum panels. R&D office space needs to be smooth and clean, thus white becomes our preferred color. But there are no large areas of pure white in nature. The warm metallic tone and luster unique to the aluminum plate blur the boundary between the landscaping and the white background, the  boundary of the sunlight ray, and even that between human activities and space. The application of a large number of aluminum plates not only brings an atmosphere of science and technology into the space, but more importantly vividness, which in turn respond to nature.

首层双曲面造型,需要塑性高的材料,其中阳极氧化铝板保留了金属光泽,无需二次装饰,是为首选。但双曲面加工需进行拉伸变形,势必破坏其表面氧化层。随着工艺推敲的深入,问题浮现,外加预算与时间等多重压力,我们几经犹豫是否更换材料。幸运的是找到了先造型再氧化的工艺,我们才有信心继续推进,直到现场复尺、建模、分板、编号、加工。拼装最难,常常一天才拼四、五块板,拼上又拆下,再拼上,几经试拼才能保证暗缝的严丝合缝和明缝的清晰流畅,保证严谨的几何造型。


The entrance staircase and its extended cinema facade are covered by anodized aluminium panels. Stairs have a large number of hyperboloid shapes, which asks for materials with high plasticity and easy processing, and anodized aluminum plates match perfectly. The anodizing treatment not only retains the metallic luster of the aluminum sheet itself, but also improves its weather resistance. However.after deep diving the material, we realized hyperboloid modeling means a certain degree of tensile deformation of the aluminum plate instead of simple bending, which will destroy the surface oxide layer. What’s worse, considering budget and time control of the owner and the construction party, we considered if we should shift to simpler and feasible material solutions. Fortunately, we came across a supplier who proposed a process of forming first before anodizing, which retrieved our confidence to continue the plan towards mapping, modeling, operation drawings, and manufacture. The final landing of the complex surface requires each party to have a strong sense of faith. Especially the on-site assembly. Sometimes only four or five boards were put together in a day. Put together, removed, and then put together, for several attempts to ensure the precision and smooth fit of both the hidden joints and open joints, which ensures a rigorous geometric shape of the hyperboloid.

如果说一层造型是抽象的山水,二层往上便是沉浸式的自然。阳光从天窗洒下,四周环绕着绿植。我们用镜面铝板去反射绿植,又将他们组合成折面去散射阳光,强化身处自然的沉浸感。如果说铝板镜面处理是丰富了表情,冲孔便是提高了透明度。我们希望它不要太强势。

 

If the form of the first floor is an abstract landscape, the second floor is an immersive nature. Sunlight fills the space and greenery flourishing. We use mirrored aluminum panels to reflect the greenery, and arrange the panels into a series of folded surfaces to diffuse sunlight, thus enhance the immersion feeling of nature. If the mirror treatment of the aluminum plate enriches the facial expression, the punching increases transparency, which work oppositely to avoid them becoming too aggressive.

亚克力也很奇妙,它是高透的,仿佛在削弱自己,又用极强的光泽与反射彰显自己。用它呈现展品既能够无保留的展示产品,又为它穿上了华丽的外衣。它与铝板本身都是比较冰冷、理性的人工材料,但是又很积极的与环境对话,最终呈现出温暖和感性。

 

Acrylic is also an interesting material. It is both highly transparent and extremely luster, which on one hand hides itself, on the other hand exposes. As a container it not only display the product without reservation, but also make it stand out. It and the aluminum plate themselves are relatively cold and rational artificial materials, but they actively communicate with the environment, finally appear warmth and sensibility.

对于观影厅,材料的表情让位于功能,我们选择让光来做设计。用光线呼应影院内外几何关系的一致性,通过智能化控制的一系列灯光场景为入场、观影、离场等时刻制造了仪式感,也紧扣科技的主题。

 

For the cinema, the expression of the materials give way to function, and we choose to let the lighting do the design. The use of light follows the geometric consistency between the inside and outside finishing of the cinema. A series of lighting scenes controlled in a software create a sense of ritual for the moment of entry, movie viewing, exit, and etc. which also emphases the design theme of science and technology.

办公区位于顶部两层,有了植物、阳光充盈的中庭,我们只需要采用全玻幕墙把各个办公室充分打开,让环境渗透进来,无需任何装饰。这样既有效平衡了整栋大楼的工程预算,也帮助我们在非常有限的预算之下做出不平庸的设计。


The office area is located on the top two floors, around a planted, sun-filled atrium. An all-glass curtain wall to fully open up the space, allowing the environment to penetrate is all we designed, with no decoration. It effectively balances the budget of the whole project, ensuring an unconventional design built within a extremely limited budget.

园区景观也是我们非常关注的部分,无论从空间上还是视觉上都承接了大自然的环境到室内环境的过渡。我们希望他的呈现也是介于两者之间,既有自然环境的松弛感也有人工环境的逻辑性。

 

The landscape of the park is also our major concern, both spatially and visually, undertaken the transition from the natural environment to the indoor environment. We hope it’s presentation is somewhere in between, with both the relaxation of the natural environment and logicality of indoor man made space .
