This project is anlocalization realization which was initiated, designed, invested, constructed, and operated byanarchitects’ team. The content of the design includesarchitecture, landscape, interior, and even customized furniture and lighting.

这个项目是由设计师团队发起、设计、投资、建设、并运营的一个全程主导的本土化设计实践。设计的范围包括建筑、景观、室内，甚至是定制的家具和灯具。

Heritage 传承  

In MIRACLE LAND boutique hotel, there is an old wooden house with ahistory of more than 60 years. Although it is not a famous conservation building, these oldhouses are disappearing heritage for the rapidly developing northern Zhejiangvillage. If they can be selectively renovated and utilized, they will leave arepresentative cultural and historical mark. Architect hope that after therenovation of this building, people can see the past, feel the innovation andintegrate into the surrounding environment.

在MIRACLE LAND 迈岚精品酒店中，有一栋60多年历史的老木房子，虽然不是什么著名保护建筑，但是对于快速发展的浙北山村，这些老屋就是正在消失中的遗产，如果能够选择性的修护利用，就是留下了具有代表性的文化和历史印记。建筑师希望这个建筑改造后，既能看见过去，也能感受创新，并能够融入周边的环境。     

SOUTHERN SNOW HOUSE 江南雪屋

Project is located in the Zhejiang mountains, more than 700 meters abovesea level, with thick snow in winter, the natural environment is more like thealpine village. Therefore, when the roof was repaired, a 1:1 steep slope wasadopted to adapt to the climate here. At the same time, they cut off thetop of the roof ridge and lowered the height again to reduce the impact on theperipheral vision. In addition, it obtained a roof ridge maintenance channel,which can even be used for climbing to watch birds. At the end of the roof ridgeis the fireplace chimney, in winter, people will light the fire, ready to meet theheaviest snow in south.

项目地处浙江高山，海拔700米以上，冬季大雪封山，自然环境更像阿尔卑斯的山村。因此在修复屋面的时候，建筑师采用1：1的陡坡，以适应这里的气候。同时将屋脊尖部切掉，把高度重新降低，以减少对周边的视线的影响，并且获得了一个屋脊检修通道，甚至可以用来登高观鸟。屋脊尽端是壁炉烟囱，到了冬天，人们就点起炉火，准备迎接南方最厚的大雪。

The dignityof the old house 老屋的尊严

 Architects take the old wooden house as a living lifeto transform, let him have dignity, so they try to make its structure become the realmeaning of the structure and not just decoration. In the project, the entirewooden structure was elevated and the foundation was strengthened. Theabove-ground part is strengthened with new steel cage column, which supportsthe position of the coaxial line of the log structure, rather than buildinganother one off the original axis, giving full play to the complementarystructural and aesthetic advantages of steel and wood. In the interior, thesecondary old wooden structure is retained as the fixed function of thepartition wall as far as possible. The old house is like an old man who hasgone through wind and rain. He has acquired a new pair of young bones and cantake on a new mission.

建筑师把老木屋当作一个活的生命去改造，让他具有尊严，因此要尽量让其的结构成为真正意义的结构而不只是摆设。工程中把整个木结构架空，对基础进行了加固。地上部分用新的钢笼柱加固，支撑在原木结构同轴线的位置，而不是偏离轴线另搭一个，最大程度的发挥了钢木互补的结构和审美优势。在室内，次要的木结构，也尽量被保留作为分隔墙的固定作用。老屋就像历经风雨的老人，获得了一副新的年轻骨骼，可以承受新的使命。

The use of old wood, on the one hand toreduce the transport and waste of wood, on the other hand to reduce the use ofadhesives and other chemicals. In addition to the replacement from repairing houses, all kinds of old wood were also added inthe near the old timber market, due to the material use, such as: solid cedarwood railing, nice texture old cassia for lounge,  redmaple and whitemaplefor table plate, moderate strains wood for making cabinet, old fir wood door  for transformed tobe new door, resistance todeformation resisting old elm forheat preservationof steel column, and so on.Although old wood has a lot of blemish and the difficulty on processing, butthose natural chromatic aberration, the crack of time, function carve... Let aperson feel the truth and story of wood.

老木头的利用，一方面减少木材的搬运和浪费，另一方面减少了粘合剂等化学品的使用。除了修护老屋的时候替换下来的，还在附近的旧木材市场上补充各种老木头，因材而用，比如：坚硬的柏木作栏杆，纹路好看的老樟木板作长桌，细腻的老红枫和白枫板作台面，用淡雅温润的株木板作柜子，还有耐潮的杉木老门改新门，耐变形的老榆木做钢柱保温，等等。虽然老木头有很多缺陷和处理上的难度，但那些自然的色差、岁月的裂痕、功能的雕琢......让人感受到木头的真实和故事。

Due to transportation difficulties,construction must be "low-carbon construction" from the beginning --local materials. Designers and workers digger out the stone s and classifiedthem: large for landscape, medium for foundation, small for cushion, squareshape for wall, circle shape for decoration.

The circular stone excavated proves thatthe orogenic movement turned this place from river and sea into a big mountain.Architects choose fruity stone material, mixed them in the wall and masonrythem to be window frame. By showing these everlasting stone when thousandsyears have passed to commemorate and bless the love.

The old wall had been cemented togetherwith local stones and mud. After dozens of experiments with local workers, thedesigner finally strengthened the stone walls with a reliable cement mortarformula, and retained the original stone mechanism to the maximum. The stonefeels like being buried in snow, making people feel warm.

由于搬运困难，从建设从一开始就必须“低碳建造”——就地取材。设计师和工人对挖出来的石头进行分类，大的做景观，中的做基础，小的当垫层，方的做挡墙，圆的做装饰。

挖出的圆形石头，证明了地质运动把这里从河海变成大川。设计师特意挑选出圆润的石料，镶嵌在墙中和砌筑成窗框，用它来展示天荒地老，海枯石烂，以此纪念和祝福爱情。

老墙原来是用当地的石头加泥巴粘合而成的。设计师和当地工人进行了几十次实验，终于用可靠的水泥砂浆配方加固了老房子的石头墙，并且最大的保留了原来石头的机理。石头像是被埋在雪里的感觉，让人感觉温暖。

Lighting andfurniture 灯具和家具

It is the ancient ginkgo trees with flyinggolden leaves that lead us to find this beautiful place. Therefore, inthe design, the theme of ginkgo is integrated into lamps and furniture. I hopethis luck can be transferred to every space. These hand-made copper lamps andfurniture, with some unique curves,  showthe elegance and unrestrained art of the Oriental aesthetic.

是金叶飞舞的古银杏树林带我们发现这个美丽的地方，因此设计中把银杏的主题融入到灯具和家具中去，希望吧这份幸运能够传递到每个空间中去。这些用手工打造的全铜定制灯具和家具，采用了一些独特的曲线，展现了东方审美中的优雅和自然。

We hope that busy urbanites can hide in this old house that infuses new life in the gap between the hustle and bustle of life, watch a piece of gingko falling from the branches, drink a cup of dense white tea, touch the texture of a piece of wood, and experience this beautiful heritage.

我们希望，让繁忙的都市人在喧嚣生活的间隙，躲进这个注入新生命的旧房子中，看一片银杏从枝头落下，喝一杯氤氲的白茶，抚摸一块木头的肌理，体验这一份美丽的遗产。
