在一段旅途开始之前，我们关于一座城的记忆就已经开始了。瓦当瓦舍·成都金融城环球中心店，以新生代商旅客的视角，尝试通过设计，重新度量“宿”在旅行中所占的比重与意义，将新世代的“设计意识”与“审美需求”提炼、反映至空间细部。由“宿”出发，渐次呈现成都的内在肌理与深层次魅力。

The memory of a city starts before the journey starts. The design of Travelling with hotel(Chengdu World Financial Center) focuses on the needs of a new generation of business travelers, trying to reflect their design-conscious and aesthetics into details of space, and bringing the deep charm and refined texture of City Chengdu into a compact space.

与传统大堂刻意营造“大堂感”的思路不同，设计师另辟蹊径，剔除原有窗帘、吊灯等装饰性元素，简化大堂构图，还原此地作为信息交融、储汇地的空间本质，将现场的“梁”、“柱”体结构消化于墙体对话的张力之中。前台既提供“宿”的服务，也交换“旅”的信息，通过对金属柜体立面的线条处理，将不同部位对应的“功能转换”可视化。

The traditional way of creating "lobby feel" by using decorative items is no longer convincing. The designer removes the decorative elements such as the original chandelier as well as hiding the "beam" and "column" structures into walls, turning lobby into a space prototype that stores and exchanges information. The front desk provides both check-in service and trip information, and two different functions are visualized in the design of the bronze counter.

每一个空间都夹杂着自身的性格，散于四隅的“都市微空间”构成了成都的气质，在地摄影师捕捉的老城光影为耸立云端的酒店空间叠加了不同的空间感，而其气氛与色彩也被运用到室内设计之中。

Each space has its own character. The "micro-space" constitutes the major atmosphere of the city. A local photographer managed to capture the light and shadow of the historic town, and superimpose different feelings and colors for the hotel space that stands in the clouds.  

木地板易于维护、清扫，通过调整色彩、比例关系，使其在视觉上和功能上同时替代了传统酒店客房中的“地毯”角色。

The wooden floor is easy to maintain and clean. By adjusting the color and proportion, it replaces "carpet" in the traditional hotel room both visually and functionally. 

从“华西钟楼”的外墙到“宽窄巷子”的灯笼，红色在 “成都”的色彩构成中所占比重不多，但存在感强烈。客房将几笔“成都红”吸取后，大胆地揉入书桌与屏风的设计。

From the facade of "Huaxi Bell Tower" to the lantern of "The broad and narrow alley", the color red doesn't take up much proportion of the color composition of Chengdu, but it manages to impress whoever visits the city. A few drops of"Chengdu Red" has been drawn from architecture and boldly blended into the design of table and screen.

城市建筑外立面被镜头压缩后释放于画框之中。平面化后的几何意象被从四面八方缩放、重组，直至成功地潜入、藏匿至三维立体空间。

The facade of the building is compressed by the lens and released into the frame. The geometric imagery of the urban city was scaled and reorganized from all directions until it successfully sneaked into the three-dimensional space.
